Overview

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a sci-fi third-person action-RPG compilation developed by BioWare (along with Abstraction Games and Blind Squirrel Games) and published by Electronic Arts for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on May 14, 2021.
Combining all three games from the original Mass Effect trilogy (Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3), Mass Effect Legendary Edition features enhanced graphics (with 4K UHD support, volumetric lighting, and updated character models, textures, and special effects) and gameplay mechanics (such as a universal character creation system, improved combat, and improved handling of the first game’s M35 Mako).
Along with the standard single-player campaigns from all three games, Legendary Edition includes most of the single-player DLC from those games, the only exception being the “Pinnacle Station” DLC from the first game (as its original source was lost). The multiplayer mode from the third game, as well as its corresponding DLC, were also not included due to time constraints (with the “Galactic Readiness” system updated to reflect this). A photo mode has also been added to all three games.
